At Evanesce Packaging Solutions our goal is to revolutionize green packaging by redesigning standard disposable food containers.

Evanesce eco-friendly compostable food containers are made with plant based by-products, which fully decompose in 90 days, and have a shelf life of more than 2 years. Currently, the majority of food packaging are timber and petroleum based products. Although they offer convenience, they pose a significant disposal problem as styrofoam food trays, and laminated paper products can take up to as much as 500 years to decompose.

We want to tackle the growing problem of environmental waste in the food service industry. Our solution – Evanesce eco-friendly food trays are disposable packaging that is truly biodegradable, compostable, and also cost effective.

After extensive research into the food packaging industry and product testing, we are preparing to begin production in Q1, 2020.

We are currently working with potential clients to identify their needs to ensure that our initial production will meet and exceed those requirements.

Our initial focus will be in the disposable service industry, which is worth US$63 billion globally, and part of the larger US$850 billion global packaging market. We want to immediately address the daily consumption of approximately 200 million meat, seafood, fruit and vegetable food trays used in the USA alone. Not stopping there, we will follow up manufacturing with more biodegradable food packaging like cups, bowls, clam shells and other moulded products.

As the industry evolves, and there is a growing demand by governments to address landfill issues through initiatives like tax incentives, penalties, and bans we are pushing for truly green packaging that will become the standard for disposable food containers. As mainstream packaging manufacturers transition into eco-friendly products, we see an opportunity to work with them by developing licensing opportunities, and bringing our product solutions to even more markets.

Our first manufacturing plant will be located in Colleton County, South Carolina, USA. Located just off exit 62 on I-95, it provides easy access to wide distribution by ground transportation. With over 100,000 SqFt of manufacturing space, our plant will be able to produce large quantities of molded products annually to supply food packaging and institutional demands locally and in the region.

The company is seeking other suitable sites in western United States and Canada.
