Douglas Horne |

Founder

A corporate development specialist. He has over 20 years of experience building successful teams and businesses in many industries. He has taken many companies public, raised millions of dollars in financings, and is well versed in regulatory and public affairs. Mr. Horne was the British Columbia MLA for Coquitlam Burke Mountain from 2009-15. He was Deputy Speaker from 2013-15, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier from 2011-13. He has also served on the Provincial Treasury Board and the Legislative Review Committee, and was Chair of the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services, and Deputy Chair of the Select Standing Committee for Public Accounts. He was also Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the U.S. Council of State Governments West.

Patrick Wang |

Director

Patrick Wang has taken place as an Executive Chairman. Patrick has over twenty-five years of experience in team management, marketing strategy and business development, Administration and in managing large sales teams and large corporations. With his leadership, Evanesce is confident it can reach new highs level performance.

Jeffrey Steiner |

Director

Jeffrey Steiner who has been with the company since the early stages and sat on the company subsidiary board, has taken a role with the parent company as a Corporate Secretary and director. Jeffrey is a senior executive, experienced board director & lawyer involved with international trade, the film & TV industry, real estate, the mining sector and early-stage angel investment.

Dr. Karl Tiefenbacher |

Chief Product Development & Research Officer

Karl Tiefenbacher headed Franz Haas’s (see below) R&D team for over 25 years. He has been working with Haas on the development of Evanesce’s packaging material and recently retired from Haas. He is the author of “The Technology of Wafers and Waffles” (ISBN: 9780128094389) and is regarded as a global expert in mass production of moulded food products.

David Chaplin Jr. |

Plant Manager

David Chaplin Jr. is an innovative manufacturing leader adept at building and coaching high performance teams in a LEAN / Continuous Improvement manner. He spent 25 years with Dayco Products in roles of increasing responsibility. His multi-dimensional experience and expertise is uniquely suited to the Evanesce project. In his initial role, he will finalize the structure of HR and the contract services associated with it. This will include aspects such as Employment, Compensation, Labor Relations, Benefits, Safety, Training and Employee Services. After this and after assuming the responsibilities of Plant Manager, he will oversee all daily production and support operations to the plant to ensure all policies and procedures are followed, while increasing production and revenue in a cost-effective manner by providing leadership and developing strategic plans using both LEAN and Six Sigma techniques.

Brian Kamperman |

Production Manager

Brian Kamperman is an accountable, resourceful leader, problem solver, and effective communicator who has excelled at leading collaborative teams, designing and executing projects. He is not afraid of a challenge and seizes ownership. He has significant training in Operations Management / LEAN, Program Management, Product Development, and Strategic Planning. He has spent 33+ years in the commercial vehicle industry with industry leading companies such as Daimler, Cummins, and Mack Trucks. Brian is another person whose background is uniquely suited to the Evanesce project. His vast knowledge and experience in plant design, MS Project, and plant start-up and launch is perfect for the first phase of his role with us. In addition, his background in manufacturing techniques and LEAN is a natural fit as he assumes the Production Manager’s role once the plant is operational. He will then direct the design and launch of this significant manufacturing operation.

John Cathcart |

Continuous Improvement Leader

John Cathcart has 22 years’ experience with more than 10 years in lean manufacturing within the auto, food, and mining industries. He has held positions as the value stream manager, continuous improvement supervisor and Kaizen facilitator. His experience includes reducing waste, creating ownership in teams and developing team members to become problem solvers using lean tools. He has been instrumental in coaching managers and supervisors to align and sustain company goals and metrics.

Susanna Carson

Susanna is recognized globally as an expert in biodegradable and compostable packaging. She is CEO of BSI Biodegradable Solutions, an innovative leader in environmentally friendly packaging and food service products. She is also Co-Chair of the Product and Packaging working group for the National Zero Waste Council, and Chair for Sustainability for the Go for the Greens entrepreneurial conference.

Hector Mackay Dunn

Hector has over 25 years of practice experience in a broad range of industry sectors, advising on corporate and general matters, complex domestic and cross-border public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, tender offers and international partnering and licensing transactions. Hector provides general and strategic advice to both senior and emerging public companies as well as early to later stage private companies, investment banks, and investors in public and private domestic and cross border equity and debt financings, mergers, tender offers, corporate reorganizations, and advises boards of directors and independent board committees on corporate governance.
